Re: 17wsm
Have a few mates with the B-Mag, very disappointed with the accuracy, replacement of the factory stock has improved accuracy but could still be better.
Cartridge is far superior to the HMR but if the rifle doesn't have the accuracy to take advantage of the improved ballistics then really a waste of money.
Will be interesting to see how the rugers shoot when they arrive, if they shoot well then the WSM might survive if not then I doubt it will be around for to long.

17 WSM over a 17Hh??
It is the old- this cartridge is better than that cartridge.
It all comes down to what you are going to use it for and how much you are going to shoot it each year. If you are only going to fire a box or three go the rimfire. Once you have picked up the empty cases give them to me so I can build more jacketed projectiles!!
If you want something that is faster, reloadable, and very accurate buy a 17 CZ HH.

I just said I'd take a wsm over the hornet. I cannot be bothered reloading a fiddly 17cal.

Long as your happy with whatever accuracy level you get with factory ammo and the current available rifle.kjd wrote:Who said that?billsshed wrote:17 WSM over a 17Hh??

Otherwise I'd be happy to fiddle if it meant better groups. It already means I get more rifles to choose from so it wins hands down there so far.

In all seriousness it looks like a decent thing in a decent rifle but it just depends on the cost of ammo, If you reload and can get a faster more accurate centrefire for not much differnce in ammo cost then I would always go that way.
If you csnt be bothered loading and can get it in a decent rifle (not that savage) well bring it to the Missedathon and let me try it
