Reptiles

Post by Camel »

Seems its been a week for me coming across reptiles, only lizards so far, first up was the two stumpy tailed shingle backs, (bogeyes)

And then today I was out getting another load of flat rocks for another little crazy paving job and came across this little sand goanna, we played hide and seek around a pine tree for a few minutes, even got to pat him on the back, very quiet.

Snuck around the tree and got a couple of front on shots

Actually, if you take a closer look you'll see your sand goanna does have a friend.

BTW thanks for explaining the critters to some of us townies. Yup, seen these guys before but not enough times to learn their names.
