Forward fold campers - whatta ya know?

Everything that is outdoors and not hunting or shooting. Talk about fishing, 4wd, archery, camping, motorbike riding etc etc.

Mick

I started looking at this same thing to upgrade my soft floor camper to a forward fold about 18 months ago. What I found by looking at them was that many of the manufacturers all imported from china and using the same trailer/campers and box set up on their trailers.

The differences were the tent on the camper, feature inclusions such as batteries, lights, outlets, layout of the kitchen, stereos etc and the quality of how each of the manufacturers fits out their camper.

The Patron you have linked to from Blackseries looks to be the same trailer / box set up as the Skamper you linked and is the same trailer / box that MDC have for their Cruizer Slide or Bluewater campers have for their Darling model. Check out the links below and compare the trailer and box design with regards to shape and position of doors. There are probably others out there too just the difference between the them all will be how it is fit out and inclusions.

So I am guessing your question to me will be “what did you end up going with?”

Sadly none of them as between work and chasing kids with their sport my current soft floor does not get enough use to warrant making the change over :( I decided to hold off for a couple of years till it is just the wife and myself then will have to do all the research again
