Hey Popcorn!

Everything that is outdoors and not hunting or shooting. Talk about fishing, 4wd, archery, camping, motorbike riding etc etc.

Despite the cold and wet weather in Melb, things tend to be evaporating quickly.

my mate does it all the time.
the high alc carbon means you can run right after distillation without the need to proof it down first.
Worth a try with a compressed cylindrical thingy?

Nah it's this stuff
500 gms was about $6 if i remember right.
the filter i use [you know the one] has a disk of scotch brite in either end to keep the granules in.
my mate has one with a single tube, but it MUST run in from bottom out from top.
like a water purifier.

for that money,i have filled four of the filter tubes [one broke a fitting and spilt the carbon]
and there is another smaller jar.
its worth the cost to set up a filter, but dont filter a grain run or you will clean the taste out of it.

ps:if you get the carbon, you will need to wash it before use,its rather dirty.
wash it,dry it,then use it.

I don’t drink spirits very often but if I survive the apocalypse and there is no more Guinness then I hope at least one of you survives with your setup intact to help me cope with the post apocalyptic world

TEOTWAWKI and possible zombiepocalypse are both reasons we moved off the big island :D and Shauny makes a pretty fabulous Irish Whiskey (although the Scotch Whisky is better!)

Just have to swim the strait if the world ends Trev :D

If you ever see me run, assume there's a bear coming and you also should run.

I only run out of patience, and money.
