No mate. Run it dry. The fat lubricates it. Only had oil in it for the initial start up at the dealers. 30 years on and never missed a beat or beast. :D

I’ve heard Olive oil is the way to go when using it for game.

I’ve heard Olive oil is the way to go when using it for game.
Used a small chainsaw in 91/92 when I was shooting Roos for the pet food market, took all the heavy knife work out of the job, heads, arms, lower leg bones, only knife work needed was to unzip them down the guts. Used canola oil in the bar for that and it did a good job.
