I couldn't help myself and got the Stihl MS311

Everything that is outdoors and not hunting or shooting. Talk about fishing, 4wd, archery, camping, motorbike riding etc etc.

The deer makes a bit of a mess with the chainsaw though....
Half and quarter my cattle carcasses with a sthil 08s . Goes alright. :)

Ummm bar oil
No mate. Run it dry. The fat lubricates it. Only had oil in it for the initial start up at the dealers. 30 years on and never missed a beat or beast. :D
Cheers
I’ve heard Olive oil is the way to go when using it for game.

Yeah Kieth that would work too. Game isn't usually as fat as my beef.

Used a small chainsaw in 91/92 when I was shooting Roos for the pet food market, took all the heavy knife work out of the job, heads, arms, lower leg bones, only knife work needed was to unzip them down the guts. Used canola oil in the bar for that and it did a good job.

If this combination is available here in Australia I'd consider it.
