I'm another that has changed the oil. It was 30+ years old and I think I used engine oil figuring it is a crankshaft and piston and anything had to be better than the goo that was in it.

Now I know better, always learning.

Soooooo sorta glad i'm such a tight ass and saved the $18 on the oil

I got a hose, WITH NITTO connectors and just an airblower (spend the other money on a drill bit sharpener  )

The little compressor runs at about 3 1/2 fart power and sports a reasonable leak in the drain/bung in the bottom. Pretty sure the new one i'll buy on the crazy supercheap specials will come with a full tank of oil :homer:

I remember buying my compressor. Listed at $275+ dollars, waited for the truck to arrive at the store, and walked out with it for $175...running like hell before they realised their mistake. These days a basic compressor for $175 is common, back then it was like hens teeth. Back then a compressor for under $450 was a bargain.

Hmmm, still haven't changed the oil....
