Very clever
I am as impressed with you jigs as much as I am with the stock
That is some work to be truly proud of
Am I correct that you bedded the action while you still had a "block" of wood with just the action and barrel channel milled out?

Yes. I glued in some pillars to set the height of the action and spacing for the floorplate. Then bedded action.
With a squared piece of wood I find it easier to measure and line things up. Then shape the rest of the stock to suit the action.
Have a look at the link Ned Kelly put up, plenty of info.

Just my way of doing it. All by hand  :D :D .

Now a lot more coating and rubbing. Getting keen to do some checkering too.

Picked up the checkering tools today. Was in the right mood to get started.
As I have a lot of experience having done one rifle before and that was four years ago   . It was a slow start setting out and making the first cuts. Once I relaxed and got in the groove it went ok, took my time.... very slow. Wish I was getting paid by the hour. :D . Have Meat Eaters podcast playing in the background and a fan going to try and beat the humidity today.
Using Dembart tools mainly but I have a new Ulman cutter that I had not used. The Ulman is a carbide cutter, has a completely different feel and technique needed. Used it mainly for the second deepening cuts and needed a light touch. To much pressure and it grabbed, drove me crazy for a while.
Still have one more direction to cut on this side.
