.17 flintstone super eyebunger

Hi all after talking to camel today and talking about weird cases has any body seen or herd of this round think it is a 22-250 neck down

I think there was another one done on a 30-06 case, but that may have been a piss take.

There was an old story on this in an old ssaa mag as in the 90s and before monolithic pills he was turning his own pills on a lathe and getting 5200fps from memory and about 4 of 500 rounds barrels life .

Only read about them when I was getting into 17s. It would want a pretty long barrel on it to burn all that powder. Just love the name. Sums up the cartridge and the terminal effect all in one.

It would be fast, i can get 5000fps out of the smaller PPC case.

Seddo what twist rate and projectiles were u using did they brake up or hold together?

I don't remember what the twist is, its a 9 or 10. I was using 20gr Varmageddon. Every round i fired through hit the target at 50 and 100m. I haven't shot it further yet, i need to pull my finger out and form up some Lapua cases or pull out some old 6ppc cases i bought from someone here and anneal them.

I was talking to my brother about it over christmas, we are going to take it out as soon as i sort out some brass and see what it does to some critters.
