Carbon fibre tube

Post by kickinback »

In my efforts to improve my gear and reduce weight I am looking to use carbon fibre tube. Has anyone cut this tubing before and how did you do it? I am thinking drop saw with diamond blade and strong extraction system for the dust.

As always, your opinions are valued.

Cheers

Glen

I have cut carbon arrows using a cut off wheel similar to the 1mm thin wheels available for 4" 5" grinder, only about 2 or 3 in dia, I think I bought the arrow saw from Cabellas. Can't send you a pic as I loaned the saw to my brother.

I've used a diamond tipped tile saw (circular electric type) to cut arrow shafts, works a treat.
