Sacrilege. I think you mean sacrilege. Like who in hell would want more powder to make it go faster. Like wtf

Completed the velocity testing of different loads put together by Missed that I had started last weekend before the battery in the chrony went flat. The 24.1gn BM1 load in Win cases is the one I have previously developed for this rifle, so only shot 2 shots to provide a velocity comparison.

One key finding is to use Rem SRBR primers - I had a neat firing pin hole punched through a CCI 450 with the AR2207 load, but no issues with the Rems apart from a slight stickiness in bolt lift. This backs up findings from when I initially undertook load development for this rifle. I think backing this AR2207 load off a little would be wise if I chose to do more work with this powder. I’m very happy with BM1 though so don’t see the point.

21.5gn of 2207 is my normal load Marcus, I have no troubles, I haven't pushed beyond this as it just works, haven't run it over the chrony so don't know the speed, I also use Rem 7 1/2 primers. I suppose it just goes to show that small differences in some components when mixed together with different barrels and possibly slightly different chamber size, not to mention different brass, all adds up and can make a great deal of difference. :D

Great stuff Marcus But I think you are handicapping yourself with the large aim points.

The 2 power scope may not be able to see any smaller at 300m.
