Then why not a 6.5 something with a 140gn. Iapua, 260 Ai or swede ai. That's what I would do.. AI Swede

You're right Trev, a 6.5 makes sense.
I do like the look of a 250 Humdinger though.
115 pill might be up to knocking a ram, while lighter pills should fly flat.

Never shot centrefire silhouette but remember when researching 7mm08 loads a few years back 1 shooter in the US ran 150gr for chicken's turkey's and pigs but 162's for Rams. Do not know if that is because he was running his 150's 200fps slower than others or if he just wanted to remove all doubt or if his 162gr load caused target damage at the shorter distances. Whatever the reason it would make me want to check if i could push the 115 fast enough to knock the ram over and would i need to run a different load for everything else to reduce target damage.
I guess no matter what you choose this would pretty much be the case.
