Yesterday before I started murdering the murder of crows, I set up the chronograph to check some loads for speed,
First up was the 250Myra with 75gn sierra BT bullets, 22gn of 2207, rem 7 1/2 primers in factory 250M brass, rifle is Brno 601 with a 22 inch Sprinter barrel.








Second up was the Brno 601 22-250AI, 50gn Zmax BM2 powder, Rem 9 1/2 primers 26 inch Maddco barrel







Third up, I dragged out the 20/222, just to see what the current load of 22gn 2207, Lapua match grade brass, Rem 7 1/2 primers and 32gn Zmax, barrel is Pacnor Super Match grade 24 inches long.

Very happy with what I got out of the 250Myra, the three shots cut a group just on an inch, very good for a light weight barrel.

Bit disapointed with what the 22-250AI gave up, even though it was a pretty good SD, I reckon some more speed will get things moving a bit more. ADI max load for 22-250 with BM2 powder, book speed was just on 3900FPS, reckon they mixed something up there. Accuracy was around 1/2 inch

20/222, while a bit wild in SD, still cuts three at under 1/2 inch at 100m. I can still go up a bit in weight as extraction is very easy, primers still rounded Will drop a bit more powder in and see how I go.

Getting some good velocity with the .20 cal, no wonder it is proving to be terrific crow medicine.

The Myra looks to be well sorted for sorting out the odd roo/pig/goat.

I would also expect a few more fps from the .22-250AI, but nothing wrong with that accuracy.

Hmmmm there are a lot of 204’s not getting those velocities Thod still yet to get to what Marcus is getting

You need to go to 220 Swift loads in that 250ai

I am also gunna have to give those little 75gn 25s a run in the 25 Camel, that should be interesting.
