Woodleigh projectiles

Post by mick_762 »

For those of you that use them Impact Trading at Wodonga are having a sale on them at the moment,
I picked up 100 150gn for the 30-30 at $30 a box.

I will be happy to pick up and hold for you until the non missedathon camping trip - or try and arrange the AV mafia to get them where they need to go.

Mmmm seems like a real good price and is the pill I have for the 30/30, pity it is not a rifle I grab very often  My young fella is the only one of us to have actually poked holes in something with a heart beat with it, perhaps I should remedy that situation?

I'll see how many pills I have in the cupboard and I may grab a box :)

Too soft for a .308 mate, impact velocity up to 2400fps. However that being said - it would f#ck a goat.

Not sure how many are left, maybe 1 or 2 boxes. . . . ? Didnt really take a lot of notice what was left after what i wanted they didnt have (light 9.3 pills around 230gn)

I have some 165gn Woodies if you want to try them? Impact velocity up to 2900fps.

I have used 165gn pp in the 30'06 on buff, banteng and pigs when we still lived in the NT.

Great performers, TBH i admit to being a bit undergunned for buff at times - had to really make sure of the first shot and generally needed a finnisher to anchor them - yeah they would have died, but i hate tracking wounded buff. (Plus a chicken shot to the brain on close range approach  . . . Never got brown jocks doing it that way though )
