Townsville 29-4 Results

Post by justjeff »

Guys,

We shot 1000 and 600 yd, conditions were light to horrible. Not much to really rave about, only a couple of good groups, lucky I got one of them with my first hit up at 1000yd with the HG.

Hi Macca,

A lot of it came down to which detail you were in, and the prevailing conditions. You had a choice of some really heavy boiling mirage, or some really variable winds, with one half of the range showing green, while the other showed red. If it was easy, everyone would do it.

jeff et al

well done to all !!!!,

not only for the weekends 600/1000 matches but also it is great to see your efforts rewarded with the establishment and growing interest in IBS 600BR which is now happening across numerous Australian NRAA ranges.

as a matter of interest, roughly how long does it take you to run your 4 target 600 BR matches?

I assume competitors shoot 2 sighter/ record targets per relay.

cheers

Ain't that the truth. 8)
Still solid results in those conditions.
Ditto on DG's comments.

Dave,

Once set up it takes about 30min per detail. We shoot the 1000yd in the morning, we start setting up around 7.45, we are normally finished around 11.00. We move the flags, score and group the targets, have a bite to eat, and talk a bit. Then around 1.00 pm we start at 600yd, and finish packing up and scoring again by about 4.30 or so. If we have a larger number of shooters, we will push a bit, but we can pack both into the half day for each.
