Top work on the hollow grinds Ted, takes some skills to get even grind lines like that. What size contact wheel are you using to do them?

Thanks James, I'm using a ten inch wheel mate, makes it a lot easier. I used a 12inch wheel for the first one, but the ten inch suits me better and swapped my 12inch one for a 10 inch one off my mate. I just used some more of your scales on the Cleaver below
NEW AND OLD CLEAVER
Made this cleaver again from the probably near 100year old large saw blade. It's great steel in it and slowly using it up. Handle is some scales that Bimbo made for me and pins are aluminium. So it's a real old and new Cleaver. Probably got some rain spots on as was raining while taking photos.

I decided to do a couple more knives this afternoon after a hard mornings work. Trying to free hand grind the buggers is hard. I had this one nearly finished and decided to get the last little bit on film. You can see one of the ways how I do it anyway. And what it looked like when it was finished. It's not perfect, sort of went up a tad too far at the ricasso on one side. But a blind man won't be able to see it. Er!! wait a minute

I made this one as I see quite a few knives with the flatter bottom and the top spine heading down rather that the blade heading upwards at the end. It's really different to what I normally make and I might just make a few more and change the angle at the end a bit to see how they look.
Made this on from 1084 high Carbon steel and put Dead Finish timber scales on it. Gee its nice timber but hard as the hobbs of hell.
Hollow ground this one and believe it or not I stuffed one grind a tad with a bit of a divot, but hard to see I suppose.
Pins and Lanyard pin are brass. This should be a really handy user I reckon

Image[/BBvideo][/BBvideo]Did this one from NitroV with some Hybrid scales. We thought the scales were buggered as got too hot when stabilising them, but they actually came out quite good looking like Ebony. Brass pins and this one is hollow ground,, thanks for looking This one is for sale a great caping, rabbit come fox knife Trying to work out how to make video play without clicking on it??
