Sig Sauer Whisky 5 3-15x44

G’day all,

Have any of you guys looked through these new Sig Sauer Whisky 5 scopes?

From doing a bit of research they seem to be the goods.

But I was just wondering does anyone have any hands on experience with them before I pull the trigger on it for my 22-250 set up.

Okay whilst it's not a whiskey 5 I did run my eye over them when I got this.
Glass is reasonable. Not a Zeiss conquest. Notice it when you look into a shadow. I couldn't try the 5 under lights but I feel it would be like Leopold not a Zeiss.
Focus/diopter is easy to adjust.
Turrets, hmmm. Not to my taste.
My 3 does track but movement is not exactly 0.250 moa but it does return to zero from where it was taken.
The 5 is obviously a higher model.
It would need to be a really good buy for me to take it over a Zeiss Conquest.
To my eyes the glass isn't quite there.
You may find it different, younger eyes and all.

I would Keith. Good glass and known to be solid internals.
The Sigs are probably good but as I said the glass in the Zeiss is better to my eyes.
There seems to be a slight hue in the Sig,which makes me feel in low light and under a spot it may not be as clear.

Tempting but I am after the 3-15x range. Cleavers has 3-15x50mm with locking turrets for $1025

Still so torn between the SIG and the Zeiss.

I have 5-25. X50 and paid $975 brand new. Tell old mate he’s dreaming.
