Post by lowndsie »

Does anyone on here have a Swarovski scope? Preferably a z3?

On both mine the quick focus ocular wiggles a fair bit. I can see the crosshairs move if any pressure is applied. Being a quick focus there's no locking ring etc. Does yours happen to do that mate?

Adjusting your paralax will probably stop the reticle from appearing to move.
Cannot help with stopping the ocular moving

Thanks mate but i cant adjust the paralax on my models. The croshairs actually move off target when the ocular moves but its not paralax if that makes sense. Happens on both of my z3s which is wierd but im thinking it might explain a few accuracy problems especially on the heavier recoiling loads.

Thanks mate. Both mine move off target a good inch at 100m. I'm taking them back to the store tomorrow. Not sure whats going on there. I have mine wound about half way in and you can see the movement quite obviously. A few of the guys at the fly shoot were a bit surprised when they saw it.

Does it sound gritty when you wind it all the way back by any chance mate?

It does sound gritty but it gets abused. I mean really abused.

Yep.. these are both farked. The crosshairs are moving all over the place. When I swapped them over i had some good groups so i guess it took a few shots on the 308 before they went.

Now i gotta buy and fit a new scope before the end of next week. Cry once aye.. didnt work this time round.

Just one more question sorry mate, when you get the slight movement can you see the crosshairs moving?

The Swaro distributor in Australia is awesome at customer service - if you don't have a positive experience with the shop, get in touch and I will provide contact details for the distributor.

Thanks guys. The bloke I spoke to at Horlsey Park yesterday was extremely helpful. I'm taking them both back this morning to get them have a look and send them off.

I'll still call the distributor a though just to discuss the procedure etc. I couldn't find a number for them so if you could pm me some contact details please Jason F, that would be great!
