5.5mm is pretty close to 22 calibre, 5.56, so this is one time that I reckon your mathematics has let you down mate. :D

I have one of the $25 ones from eBay. I don't think I have put one up a barrel but it make it easy to look at some cases I though we're going to seperate

I recently bought the Aldi unit but haven't tried shoving it up a bore yet. The flex cable is rather rigid and the head is probably too large for anything less than probably 30cal. The ALDI unit came with some attachable mirrors (and batteries) etc, but the attachments will only increases its diameter.

Pic quality is OK but the colours aren't perfect, so even if it did fit a bore it's unlikely to help with accurate reading of copper and lead deposits etc.

One nice feature is a video out socket (3.5mm from memory). That said, it's a handy tool which I can see myself using for automotive applications etc.

I plan on testing it on a rotary engine soon, plenty of access to the engine internals but too many curves/bends to do any normal eyeball inspection. Will be interesting to see how it performs.

Haven't looked at anything beyond the Aldi unit. Price made it a "can't go wrong" sort of tool that could be very handy.
