Re: .22 shooting target
Seddo, thanks.
Will have to see what Elevation I can get from my scope, probably down the bottom of the post and a fair bit bigger gong.

Exactly how I did it. 200m shouldn't be a problem, provided you have enough scope adjustment.
I surprised myself with my 22LR hitting a brake drum at 215m consistently. Head shots aren't going to be easy...

Re: .22 shooting target
Jmc, here are some drop data I measured a few months ago. It should get you close.
Win T22 standed velocity and Win HV
Distance.- drop(mm)
......T22.---------HV
50m- 0------------0
100m- 240-------140
150m- 630
200m- 1660 ------ 1200
Will be interesting to stretch it out to 3-400m and ring the gong.

Using the lower section of my reticle:
SK High Velocity at 215m
7 inches up, 1 inch right.
Of course, this will differ somewhat...

Try it with open sights, you'll be surprised. The Raven wrote:Hard to tell the scale but I assume the bunny is 1:1Jmc wrote:Made a steel target to shoot with my .22 didn't take much to make hope to hit it out to 200y plus in the future

Reminds me of an old Daisy BB rifle I had, I could lob a shot at anything and hit it. The trick was watching/learning the BB's Rainbow trajectory (only 200fps). Not sure it could push a BB to 200m though.

Re: .22 shooting target
I think I was 54 moa from 50m to 300m with CCI 40 subs. Fun stuff. I used a sheet of old roofing iron first time as target so I could get the drops.

Re: .22 shooting target
Today I tried it started at 100yards and worked back 50 got out to 300 the wind pick up witch made it hard but it was shooting a very good water line still got more elevation left to push back further was good fun.

Re: .22 shooting target
Good stuff JMC. It makes me smile waiting for the ping to come back.
Interested to know your drops when you get them sorted.
I need a better scope than my 3-9 to reach out further consistantly.

Re: .22 shooting target
I used CCI sub's this chart for me was spot on. I was using a 1.5-6x40 30mm tube hi lux scope could see every shot coming down range before it got there was very interested and to work out wind.

Re: .22 shooting target
Thanks for the print out.
Thought you were using the Nightforce.
I have changed scopes since my original drop tests, think the current scope a (Nikon 3-9EFR) has a "big" MOA click. Repeatable but getting slightly different drop results to before. One day I will accurately run the test again.
