Whilst big comps leave plenty of time for sighting & practice. Extensive sighting practice in a club competition is a bit of a luxury.

Maybe we let shooters use all the lanes for 15 mins to set out their own preferred targets at their preferred ranges. I used to use a clothes peg in the ground holding a thick piece of card as a target. Alternatively bring a pellet trap.

Once everyone is set up, the range is live & the clock ticks down to zero.

As much as I alway enjoy an FT shoot at Hornsby (& soon Waratah :)), You'd never hear me complain about having some dedicated sighting time.

If I didn't enjoy it, would I drive up from Melbourne?????????? huh Matthew??

Sighting only makes sense especially because we have so many new comers to FT.

As you know it takes me 5 shots at most to sight any of my rifles in. Only a 25m target is needed as my scopes are all calibrated to that reference point.
