Laid down a deposit on one of these today. Trying to remain a little pure with the long barrel and timber stock rather than short black and pistol grips. Haven’t had a scatter gun in years but with a new property in the family with plenty of bunnies I’m looking forward to knocking a few over and popping a few clays from time to time too

I’ve got that model with a 20 inch barrel. Lots of fun on game. Haven’t tried it on clays though.

The longer barrel did seem to swing better than the shorter ones. But I can see the short ones would be really good in scrub or off a bike. Horses for courses I reckon as I’m after something to do a bit of everything. Hope yours has been reliable?

I didn’t do any pre purchase handling, bought mine as a bargain second hand purchase.
So far so good. Only 100 shells in though. There’s a few on AHN that have put more rounds through them and no complaints yet.

Yes they have the best track record of all the straight pulls it seems. Our new farm seems to have quite a few stubble quail on it. I’m looking forward to finding a nice recipie for them. Would like to find a nice steel trap load for them.

Butterfly the quail and straight on the smoker. I think about 60 mins at 225f and they are perfect.

I’m sure Camel will chime in with suggestions of his own.

Awesome! Love the low n slow bbq. I reckon they would go well with a spicy coating mix and a vortex on the Weber too

I’ve put a Hardcore Camo rub on my quail before. Comes out really nice. It actually goes well with all game. Not too overpowering.
