Yeah got an email from midsouth with deals on the ammo. Google says 10% more power than the creedmore. Is this what the creedmore should have been?

I'll keep my swede   The PRC seems very much designed for one purpose. Seems plenty of other cartridges do about the same thing.

Also see Sierra have a 150 6.5 and I believe Berger are doing one.

The question has to be why? The 6.5/284 is a barrel burner so if this cartridge is based off the SAUM then it will also be a barrel burner with the only difference being it will do it in a short action.
Overbore is overbore in a long or short action.

If i was to ever do a 6.5, please shoot me now, i would simply take the Cringemoor or 6.5x47 Lap reamer and plunge it in to the overall length of 51 mm. Then take any 308 brass and go from there with a nice usable shoulder angle and a neck length that is just a little longer than the 260 Rem. The brass will be a less prone to lengthening, it will feed well with the 30 degree shoulder angle and support the longest bullets with its slightly longer neck. It aint no Swede but that cartridge like the 6.5/284 really needs a long action.

What has really annoyed me over a number of years is that the best caliber in this lightweight war has been completely overlooked. The 25 cal once upon a time looked like it would leave the 6mm and 6.5s for dead. Those that can remember the days of the JLKs and early Fowlers in 25 cal know exactly what i mean. Those 108 Fowlers had a BC of 0.600, looked like a javelin, shot into a hole and in my 25/55 did in excess of 3400 fps. Almost as fast in the Souper and a guts full of Re15. You can run the numbers all you want, a .600 BC 25 cal bullet at over 3200 fps in a basic 10 twist barrel makes a Cringemoor look like what it is. Junk with more recoil.
I still have all the cases dies and barrels in the hope that one day someone in the US listens to Jackie Schmidt and builds a high BC 25 cal bullet again.

I'd go there for a heavy varmint rifle that will see deer in its line-up!
Cheers...

Those high BC .25 cal pills would be just the ticket for the .250 Magnum Camel is going to buy.

Would go equally as well in a .257 wobbly.

Yeah I reckon you would cause some serious rabbit acrobatics and uncontrolled giggling from Missed and Trevor to if you got your hands on some of these pills Rob.
