Hi folks,
I recently became the new owner of a small frame colt rifle, built in 1894. I posted details on another forum, but figure you may find it interesting, so here it is.....
I have put a few dozen 22 shorts through it (it won't feed 22LR - as it wasn't built for them), and after a hammer spring adjustment, it works just fine. It's easy to load up rounds and feeds and cycles really well. The triggers good, and it is a bucketload of fun.
So it looks like there's a lot of life left in a 120 year old rifle yet.
cheers, curan
