Thumbhole Savage .17 HMR at last...

Post by Red Dog »

After many months of looking and seeing whats around in a thumbhole .17 HMR , I bought a Savage 93 R 17. Had the chance for a fluted heavy twisted barrel blued and 5 shot mag. The thumbhole stock fits my big hand better than other brands tried. So after fitting a scope which I had for a while 3-25 x 50 the end result is good. Have no trouble head shooting bunnies at 80 - 100 M, and should stretch out a bit more with practice. :rifle:

80-100m is just warming up for the HMR.

Whack a bipod on, find an open space and snipe at a few further out. Great fun!

Still love my thumb hole .17 Savage. Looking to fit a Yukon RT 65 night scope.
Anyone got one and how do they go ? 😃
