Ho Hummm  Can't really get a hard on for car racing, though I will watch the last half hour or so, but I spose any excuse to sit around all day drinking piss and munching out is a good one. :D

So true.I loved Bathurst in the bad old days with no safety car etc. Even better only one driver.
Don't mind it now but not quite as enthusastic has when I was younger.

Would much prefer the pre-V8 Touring car days with all makes/models/classes competing. Now that was fun.

FFS I can't even figure out which car is a Ford or Holden anymore without looking at the badge on the grill. Not even drivers names where you can easily see them.

Yeah, its pretty stuffed these days, though the commentators try and make it interesting/exciting, I think I would prefer to get the 700gm coffee tin out from under the loading bench that is half full of spent primers, and count them.

I really used to enjoy the Sunday of the long weekend in October a few mates around to
Watch some racing and burn some snags

Now days do you want a hand counting those dead primers Thod

Despite all that, it was still the right outcome.

Lowndes deserved the win.

OOps, looks like I missed the last half hour, the spent primer counting was way too engrossing to stop.

It was a good outcome. I'm not a fan of Lowndes but he did deserve it.

Shame about Reynolds, his team should have pulled in him a few laps early and they would probably have got a podium finish. But hey, that's racing.
