All the best young fella.
How much grain do you mill in a session, do you use it fresh or store it?

650W drill on the mill is the go. Run it through several times at ever finer settings until you get what you want. 5KG of cracked maize takes about 10mins to run through three time.

ive got the roller mill mounted to a board and have the drill on the shaft.
i didnt have to run the rye or the barley threw more than once.
i think i might with the corn though.

Cracked corn will need a few runs, I like it fine as I can get it. I have uncracked now and it will be interesting to see how the mill handles that.

As for the malt, I'm told it needs to be lightly crushed to 'crack' it not necessarily turned into dust. For the most part the middle setting will do.

Haven't tried rye in a mash but I didn't like anything that claimed to have rye in it. Be worth a sample though

You may need some of these: http://ballmason.com.au/

Belated birthday wishes Sean, been on the road for the last three days. Hope you got all the dust out of your eyes. So if you were all teary eyed, you would have been ryeing
