I managed to catch a 35cm brown this morning while everyone was still pushing out zeds, Daisy was next up and walked over to the creek and pulled out a 30cm version. Had to pull them out of the esky so missed could get a pic. Both came out of the section that gets the most pressure and had produced no fish all weekend.
Yesterday morning daisy 110 & 55 spent about 5 hrs walking the creek for 2 between them, missed and the clan spent a few hours yesterday afternoon spinning and bait fishing without any luck. Seems they just shut down and didn't want to bite.
By the time we had the kids down the swimming hole about 10.30 today it was the same story, fish just weren't interested, tried celtas, vibrax and rapala cd's but couldn't even get a hit or follow.
Bit disappointed with only 12 fish landed, for the weekend but its a big improvement over last year.

Well home safe & sound after the 4 hour drive.
I would like to thank Sean for putting on the Troutathon again. A shame more people couldn't make it this time around. Then again the weather wasn't up to the standard of last year. I mean I spent so much fishing I didn't even drink all the beer I took. The lamb was great again, even if it didn't have as many supervisors to watch it cook this year.
Thanks again Sean and family.

Sorry I couldn't make it.

I'm not much of a fisherman, don't eat fish, and have been busy commuting between QLD and Vic over the last week.

The closest I got to wildlife was a young fox eating some roadkill in the middle of the road, actually had to brake to miss him around 10pm. Unfortunately the car isn't suited to smacking wildlife.

Damn nice pics.....if sideways

Very nice looking waterway - looks perfect for tossing small lures around.
