Bedding a 22 rim fire target rifle barrel
Bedding a 22 rim fire target rifle barrel
I am planning to bed my 54 action anschutz rim fire rifle and 25mm of barrel just after the re-coil lug (re-coil lug is located in the action), because, I feel this would help to stabalize the barrel and action. I am interested in various opinions on bedding the barrel 25mm past the action. Is this a good idea or a waste of time.

Proably the best way to go in your configuration. I dosn't hurt to try this first up, if it doesn't work you can always remove it from under the barrel. It is harder to do it the other way around (ie adding more bedding compoud later).PSW wrote: bed my 54 action anschutz rim fire rifle and 25mm of barrel just after the re-coil lug.

That is more that the videos have been removed or some such technical computer thing. Or it may have something to do with the change over of the forum format recently, I have noticed that a lot of photos have disappeared from the forum as well.
Can any of you technical genius blokes help here ?
