To those who have been around the Smallbore Target community for a while, the name David Hollister may be familiar.
David passed away today after a short illness.
David was a stalwart of the North Sydney club, being an active member for over 58 years. He has been the club champion for more years than anyone could count, he was dedicated to bringing on new shooters and could be found at every one of our monthly Try Shooting Nights and at our scout/venturer/rover nights.
Many a time he would sit and watch a shooter in a form slump and then point out what he had seen - always encouraging and helping.
He represented Australia at the 1980 Moscow Olympics and at numerous international events.
Personally, I have lost a friend and mentor.
We are diminished.
