for me mate 900 cold and overcast and even a short little shower whilst in the pits. Wind ranged from 4 1/2 to 8 moa when I shot varied from 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 MOA.
Stage one just was out of sorts, just a lowly 53, Stage 2 better 56.2 so finished with a 109.2 but thay will be a keeper for the handicap score is a good one. Probably one of the ones I loaded at the wrong charge, thought I got them all but maybe not.
On a brighter note did pick up a nightforce 8-32 x 56 which should make a bit of a difference well hopefully.

it's a 30 mm tube and 56 mm objective so it's much much brighter than the leupold that it has replaced. Adjustments were spot on took two shot's from first round on paper which was the first shot. The rifle I used yesterday was my alternate 14 twist maddco with a bushnell elite and it's adjustments are not spot on, I took about half a minute of windage off and it didn't seem to be moving and elevation seemed to jump a little bit. It will go when I can get another better scope but has to be a variable. What scope does he have.

Sadly no we only go to 900 next range is back to 300 but for me will be in a fortnight at 500. If it's a 1" scope main tube and higher than 25 power it can get dull hence the reason have ditched my fixed 36 Leupold BR, when the sun is out it's ok but it could be dull when it was not sunny. AND it was a 1/4 click adjustment's so at the real longs makes it had to centre the group without aiming off slightly.

*99.3* :D :D 8) 8)

if it wasnt for a magpie [flyer] and a couple 4's,i woulda killed it.
gotta be happy with that :D

Excellent going mate, love hearing when people shoot Pb's. After my disappointing showing up at Brisbane spent last Sunday afternoon making a rear bag stabiliser out of 12mm steel plate and picked up a Night force benchrest scope to replace the Leupold that was on it. Got to shoot it yesterday at 500 First stage wind and mirage up and down like a yo yo. could only manage a low 54.2 but on the day that was still only 1 and 2 pt's behind two guys going to Canada for the world's. Second stage was a lot lighter manage'd a 58.5 and the two I dropped were on the wind. New rear bag stabiliser plate worked a treat, a much more stable set up than before. Now just have to weight for the 10-50 sightron for the 14 twist and I'll be set to do a lot better at Canberra this year.

Yep, it's so nice to be trust when you turn the turret a specified amount it moves the specified amount. Gotta put some talc powder on the rear bag to help it to slide in the bag. So nice to actually have a set up that works now.

a lotta the guys up here use talc on both ends.
they also use a flat [steel or alloy] piece under the front to make it stable and level.
i think it help the slide also.[inside the front rest]

300 mozzie today. 500 cancelled due to gale force winds.

This was my best for the day in strong switching wind.

Nice waterline there.
That "high shot" looks to only be about 2 calibres difference.
