and its good to see I have the physique required for world domination at 1000yd
Or maybe hold a SCNSMOAC (Southern Cross Not So Much of a Challenge) at a time of the year that isn't freezing cold, or stinking hot or blowing a gale. Or does that time not occur in Dubbo possibly? Anyway, one fun part of holding the comp in August is seeing the North QLDs dressing like they are trecking to the south pole, while locals are in shorts and teeshirts.
Count me in for the whole lot in 2018.

Hey Jacko,
You were not the only one. Remember me walking back to get the cleaning rod to push out the projy.
Rod it was not that cold for the N.Qers. Looking foreward to catching up next year. Also congrats on your efforts in Canada.
Cheers,
Trevor.

the Narromine Rockwall camping, cabin and caravan park has recently re-opened following extensive modernization and refurbishment.

it is located beside the Stockman Motor Inn on the eastern side of town.

https://www.narrominerockwalltouristpark.com.au/

another welcome accommodation option for those attending the SCC or regular ND LRBR club matches.

Dave,
I have bookings for myself and Trev, and wait for it,,,, TZ. So we will arrive Tuesday early afternoon, then normal service. I admit to being a little concerned your local blokes won't be there for a Friday 1000yd comp.

Be good to catch up, hopefully will have a 2 gun option.

Yes Dave as Jeff said i will be down to shoot the 600. Got me a new cartridge to blow away all you southerners. After much research on the intraweb told me i had to use less powder, i came up with a revolutionary cartridge that surprised me no-one had done before. The 6mm Hornet and 115 Tubb. Velocity, ES and SDs all in the single digits.

trev

I think most are continuing to stay at the airport caravan park, but from what I understand it might be booked out ???

(may pay to phone to double check though)

the rockwall caravan park is on the range side of town and might be of interest to those who are still looking or inquiring about accommodation.

hey tony

brilliant idea :D :D

yep, i reckon everyone else will now be shooting for 2nd place at both 600 and 1000 !!!!!!!

looking forward to seeing and catching up with everyone .

cheers
dave

ps I am just in the process of checking nominations to see who is committed to attending, so that those on the reserve list can be notified if there are vacancies.

If that projectile got any longer AND/OR that case any shorter it'd almost be a Rocket Ball.

Raven the 6.5 and 7mm Hornet are a sight to behold with their respective VLDs. By my calculation of reduced powder charge verses velocity gain as gleaned off the intraweb, like nonsnipershiding.cum, the performance should be interstellar. The 30 cal version i am currently working on will require some very creative chambering as well as modification of the Brno Fox action, but once perfected, it will be a battle to keep the technology hidden from Jacko.

Dave since I just unexpectedly had to take of three weeks from work there is no way I can get another week off. I'm 100% out of the 600 and will confirm on the 1000 in the next week

As long as you bring your sense of humor, a good camera and an enquiring mind. I havent had much range experience anywhere and the welcome I got a couple of years ago when I went was fantastic. I think I had as much fun asking questions, annoying others and helping with the butts jobs as I would have had if I had been totally involved.

I'm gunna try get up this year, but it all depends on the two great evils in life, funds and time off work.
