Nice one Flip,
The T3 synthetic is a nice rifle.
Looks like you got the Varmint model.
What scope are you running?
Cheers

Re: Meopta
Missed, could you give us a report once you've used it a bit? Especially if you take it spotlighting.

At the risk of becoming flame bait;
I wouldn't mind trying that stock to see how it handles.
I love my CZ, but the wooden stock doesn't fit all that well.

Re: Sierra 55 gn "super roo" anyone using them?
58mm OAL fits a Tikka T3 4 round mag and feeds without problems. In my rifle that's about 1.6 to 1.7 mm off the lands. I actually measure using a small piece of .224 barrel (20mm long) as a gauge to locate the end of the ogive. Sit the gauge on the end of the pojectile on a loaded round and measure ...

Re: Precision Front Rests
How do the joystick rests work?
Does the joystick adjust windage, and you adjust elevation with the side knob?
Some of the write ups on joystick rests imply that the joystick is used for both adjustments.

Hi Fenring,
What's the mount on holding the ultrafire?
It looks like two scope rings held together by a fancy double wedge doodad. Is it something you made or can they be bought?
BTW been having fun with my own ultrafire. Thanks for posting the tactical torch thread.

Soon I will be using a Sako L461 20 Vartarg with a 4-16x40 Bushnell 4200 Missed, Have you decided that the 24x is too much magnification for spotlighting? I'm using a 4-12x40 Bushnell 3200. It stays on 12x. Been considering upgrading to a 50mm objective for more light and a little more magnificatio...

Re: scope covers and lens covers
I have a pair of flipups on my scope. Really like them. They're real good for keeping dust off the scope lenses while driving around spotlighting. Mine have the see though bits in the flip ups. If you forget to flip them up you get a blurry view through the scope. Doesn't take long to get the habit ...
