Re: Silly wets
Hi BB, The site for the rules is: http://www.ssaa.org.au/newssaa/disciplines/rulebook/RifleMetallicSilhouette.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Morerams is on the money with his scope advice. I use a Nikko Nighteater 6-24 x 50, and find 10x suits me. A bit of time on the r...

Re: Pellet choice for Gamo CFX?
Thanks Lewis.
Incidentally, he mentioned a "sabot" round he used to used. Metal core with plastic sabot. Are these still available, or were they a passing gimmick?

Pellet choice for Gamo CFX?
A friend has a Gamo CFX in .177. He wants to use it for small birds amongst his fruit trees, sheds, etc, and the occasional rat, etc. He told me he has tried a couple of different types of pellets, but they haven't been very accurate. He mentioned that one of these types were raptors, but they were ...

Re: Sunday 3 Positional Illawarra SSAA Branch Club shoot ...
Well done Harry :) About a month ago I took my hornet (.177) down to the local range and tried it out alongside my .22 rimfire. With the JSB exacts (the extra heavies which Lewis kindly put me onto) the hornet was every bit as accurate at 50 as the rimfire (still air on the day). So I find it no sur...

Re: Suggestions Please.
Hi KJD, Would it be possible to put the businesses in their own section on the front page? I understand your reasons for separating them from their previous positions, but thought that apart from the major categories of “Varminting”, “Other Forums” and “Australian Airgun Forums”, we could have “Busi...

Always enjoy reading about your achievements Harry.
Please keep on posting. And the country you get to do your shooting in looks pretty good too. Great pics!

Nostradamus has competition?
That last post by Dennis turned out to be a quite a prophecy.
The young bloke took gold as a junior for the 3p air in the SA state titles last weekend. And yes, he was using the club 300s. His brother took silver in the 10m.
And don't feel bad Dennis, the little buggers are outshooting me too!

Can anyone tell me if the A250 is lighter than the 300s? The young bloke has the reach, it's only the weight that was bothering him over a 40 shot match. Relating to the question from Predator about the city I live in, I'm afraid I don't go much for cities. My family and I live a couple of hours out...

FX Typhoon for 10m use
Hello, a couple of questions from a newbie. I have been shooting 10m precision, 3 position and Field for about 6 months at a local SSAA range, using one of the club guns, a FWB 300s with a 4-24x50 scope. My 2 teenage sons are also members, and competing. The youngest does find the 300s a bit weighty...
