Re: Ignorance is bliss
Nothing beats the 'can I slide a projectile into a fired case' test. My 6x47Lap is the same - unturned cases have about a thou to spare so I give them a light turn.

Re: Sometimes
Love my 338 Fed. Woodleigh make awesome 180 and 200 pills specially for it which are cheap and deadly accurate. Necked up 308 brass is about as cheap as you can get. Dies are easy to source. What's not to love?

Re: About to bite the bullet
That is good advice Trevort. I do the same and should have mentioned that earlier.
Attached is a simple calculator for a test series. Only fire the next powder increment if the earlier one shows no pressure signs.

Re: About to bite the bullet
A good rule of thumb for increments is 1% of the charge. I use 0.3gr increments in the 223 case.

Re: sightron 2.5 x17.5 x 56
Had a very close look at them at the Shot Expo. They represent excellent value for money with a good set of features. They lack the HD glass of the 2.5-17.5 though.

Re: My new fly gun build and a nice fluke as well
Sequential numbers in a matched pair of rifles. Very cool! Who has the lower number?
