Re: Knife Sharpening Steel.
I used to get hassled off a mate for using the slowly softly approach on a steel, he would be 100 miles an hour like a butcher does when he's showing off. Then he used one of my boning knives and wanted to hear real quick how i done it.

Re: Knife Sharpening Steel.
Okay while on the topic of sharpening is their better stones to get too? I got one with a chisel set and seems pretty soft compared to the old mans? I was going to have a look in one of those knives stores like king of knives or something or is their somewhere else to go? Might have to get myself a...

Re: Knife Sharpening Steel.
G'day Jock, I spent 4 years as a Slicer on the boning chain. The best steel that you could possibly acquire is an F.Dick Multi cut. This is the steel that I had, the day will come when I get another (unfortunately my father decided that he needed it more then I did). I have since acquired a square ...

Something with a good name and not too rough, the smoother the better. Some of my knives like to be stropped rather than steeled.

Re: You expereince with Vortex binoculars?
Mate i spent a bit more and bought the Vortex Fury binos and they are incredibly crisp especially in low light conditions. Money well spent IMO and they shit all over the steiners
Re: Knives
Mate there is a lot of shit on ebay when it comes to knives with only about 1% of it being any good. Waht type of knife are you after and what will you use it for and do you know how to sharpen a knife and keep it sharp? My collection for the house and general meat work is a mongrel mix of FDick, gi...

Re: 7mm Rem Mag Powder
Mate i havent had the chance to compare 2209 with 2225 but the 2209 was only giving me an AV of 2910 compared to the 3140 that RE-22 gave me.

Re: 7mm Rem Mag Powder
Having only had my 7RM for a few weeks i tried 2209.......... a bit erratic and too slow. No one seemed to have any 2225 so i tried Reloader-22 with excellent results giving me a group of 0.7" with an AV of 3140fps. This is using 140gn accubonds though. Just my 2c worth.

Re: Things that shit me off
My missus (god love her) has a real nasty habit of moving things around the house. I put something down like some paperwork and go to look for it the next day and cant find it so i have to call her on the phone with the shits and ask if she's seen it and she'll say look in your pile of shit or the f...

Re: .25-06 Varmint rifle options???
I am biased on my choice because I own two rem 700's and find it hard to find a ruger that im comfortable with. In saying this I havent shot a VT so I cant comment on their performance. But for me its rem all the way, unless your lucky enough to find a Model70 with a heavy barrel such as a stealth.....
