Re: neck die help

Mate their just easy being a collet you dont need to muck around with lube etc. Some people will argue that neck sizing only will give you more out of your brass but I cant see it and I believe they are money well spent but as I said get decent lock rings for them and bin the other ones.

Re: neck die help

Mate I use Lee collet neck dies for three of my rifles, the only Lee product I use and I reckon theire unreal. When you buy one they have those poxy locknuts with the rubbr ring in them. Piss it off and replace it with a lockring off another brand like RCBS, Redding, Lyman etc. and the lockrings onl...

The only complaint is every now and then if its got 5 rounds in the magazine, occasionally when cycling the first round it will pop out into the reciever leaving the bolt pushing the second round in aswell but thi...

Yes that does suck! When we cleaned out the spare room to tidy it up for the bub the misses found heaps of them, and consequently sucked them up with the vacuum cleaner!

Re: Surface rust

I use a closet camel and each gun gets a generous wipe over with kleenbore formula 3 before it goes away. To remove surface rust I use the same oil with an old piece of towelling or if it needs more i use a scotchbrite pad.

Re: Case cleaning

Try a polishing place that does car parts and the like in particular aluminium pieces, they use what is basically a big tumbler but the media used is pumice stone and it turns out real nice. There used to be a fella at Beverly Hills where I had some rocker covers, thermostat housings and various odd...

Re: 22 Hornet, what do you think of them?

If its a Brno, jump on it. The hornet is a fantastic little calibre to shoot if you have the right rifle. They are a little expensive to buy factory ammo for and fiddly to reload but well worth it in my opinion, character building!

If you want a .270 mate I reckon a WSM would be the go, plenty of gun for your deer and still hard and flat enough for the cute n fluffies.
