I was asked to look at an 880 a couple of months ago. Plastic Fantastic heaven.
Took two screws off which release some tension on the action. The flipping thing fell to bits. What was cracked plastic became jig saw plastic.

Used to work in the diving industry and I have seen the damage caused by equipment failure; SCUBA valves embedded in double brick walls ect. I'm personally steering clear.
