Ideally I'd like something that can be used handheld while on foot and also be used out of the vehicle, not sure if there is something suited to both tasks. Also not sure whether to get one of the new generation torches or a trad...

Re: Which springer?
Reading back through old threads. I think it was Lewis that says to put in a felt and a pellet right behind it so they both go down the barrel together. So the pellet pushes the felt.
I could be wrong though, which happens most of the time.

Re: Which springer?
I picked up the little Diana yesterday. The fit and finish seems great to me. The trigger is ok but could be better and the main spring is not all that smooth. Ran five cleaning felts through the barrel to clean up the bore initially. It's seems to be shooting well. So far I'm very happy with it. Ti...

Re: Which springer?
Well I finally decided on a Diana 240. Just need to wait for the pta.
Any tips on what pellets to try and any maintenance that a springer needs.
Thanks Tim

Re: Which springer?
From what I have been told the 240 classic is still German made. The model I looked at was definitely stamped made in Germany.

Re: Which springer?
Do anybody know if the Diana 240 classic is any good? It seems to be the same as the panther 21 but with a beech stock and made in Germany, the new 21 is made in china.
Thanks Tim

Just got a price of $128 for the Diana 21 from shooters delight. Apparently Noia have dropped their price.

Re: Which springer?
Thanks guys. I wonder why the price of the Diana 21 panther has dropped so much and if the quality has dropped along with the price.
Thanks again

Not having much luck finding a HW30s in .177. I was told there is none in stock and the next shipment is only due mid year.

Re: Which springer?
Thanks very much for your insight, I'll do the ring around tomorrow and see availability of a HW30. The Gun World website has the Diana 21 Panther for less than $150.

Which springer?
I want to get an air rifle, it will be used by my kids also.so I'm thinking synthetic stock, light weight, open sights and easy to cock. It will be used mainly for plinking and maybe the odd myna bird or toad. I saw a Diana 11 at the shop yesterday for $150 but I'm not sure it they are complete garb...
