Re: Stock style/shape

With my 6BR build, wondering what shape/style of stock to look for, its gunna be a bit of an all rounder , live critter exploding, a bit of spotlight and a bit of playing at this long range BR stuff Trevor, as you can see above he is building an "all rounder" a BR stock is for one purpose...

Re: Stock style/shape

If you are going to shoot it out of the car I would not use a 3 inch forend stock! Been there tried that did not work real well, moving it around the car is just a pain in the arse. It 's not a BR rifle so I would stay well away fro BR stocks. A varmint stock can be used out the widow and still be s...

Re: Happy Birthday Glenn

Thank you.

I had a great day at the hunting expo!

Met a hunting outfitter from New Zealand and seen the photo of the trophies they
guided last year so that could be dangerous!

Re: PRS trends have drastically altered.

Glenn you are dead right. I loathe the 6x47 Lap with a passion. But i have all the bullets cases and barrels from the days i tried to make it happen. As a varmint cartridge it is bloody awesome. Not 6BR type accurate, but dead crow at 400 accurate. For PRS plenty good enough and better than i can h...

Re: PRS trends have drastically altered.

I am not a fan of a chassis either! I'm still a fan of wood. I do have a few of those expensive McMillan a Manner stocks but what else do we do? I cannot use a HS stock! My set up currently is Deviant action in a HS stock. Scope is 5x25 HD5. 6x47 Lap with 105 Bergers. Harris bipod. YOUR using a 6x47...

Re: PRS trends have drastically altered.

Lee it was always going to happen. Manners early in the piece made stocks that had no alloy chassis cast in. Then it was off to the smith so the million dollar stock could get a further half a millions worth of pillar bedding done. Not too long back Manners came out with a "mini chassis" ...

Re: Aldi Ultrasonic Cleaner

There's a good recipe for the cleaning solution, at least as it applies to brass cases. About 1 spoon of cream of tare tare, noting I usually sprinkle it rather than measuring. Then one or two drops of diswashing detergent. The rest water. The dishwashing liquid adds a lot more sparkle and less wat...

Re: sightron STac 6x20 versus S111 6x24

Anyone have both or have experience with both. The S111 has 20 moa more adjustment and a little bit more magnification but what else do you get for more than double the money? I know happy Stac users and thinking I dont need the nightforce NXS as much as I thought I did Whats wrong with the NF NSX?...
