Buy the rifle on it's own somewhere from $420 upwards and get a scope you want not what a dealer thinks might appear good value.
You could spoil a very accurate rifle in a Savage 93 HMR by fitting the wrong scope IMO.
Choice is a beautiful thing.

Re: Rimfire shooters.
Following up on my earlier post. Still no tuner yet but the trigger job has been a huge improvement and the last 5 cards have all been averaging a +4-5 better score over those of the previous ten cards so I'm very pleased. I'm looking forward to fitting up the Lowey Tuner to the Walther KKM and work...

Re: Why?
If the challenge wasn't there we wouldn't do it. Each week you think you might have found the key to that better result and go back next week to find there's more to learn.
It's both shooting against yourself and others which is why it's so addictive.

Re: New Hummer
Good luck with it. Seems they all shoot well just a matter of finding what works well when it comes to ammo.
It certainly looks the goods and of course we'd be expecting a range report.

Re: Rimfire shooters.
Nothing on a national scale here. Just completed a 10 card 20m postal bench comp and was consistently bad. Started of well with a 192/200 but never reached those heights again averaging well below what my normal 189 -190 scores would be. I shoot Federal match which seems to be the best of what I've ...

Re: Got some new toys
I have a pair of Vortex Diamondback 10x42's and although not in the league of yours they are very very good and like yours have exceptional low light qualities.
Nice toys and you'll love em.

Do you think it will have a downward effect on the HMR ammo prices as well ?
If it offerers all that a HMR does and more it will be an exciting round.

Re: cheap 2-7 rifle scope
CORRECTION After not receiving my order after a week I followed up my order today or at least tried. It appears that the Advertised scope in the link I posted is in fact not a higher level VIPER scope but a base model CROSSFIRE mode scope. PLEASE DISREGARD THE LINK I POSTED I stand by the quality o...

Re: Tripod
I have a VELBON Sherpa 200 I use for the same purpose you want to use one for and had it for a couple of years now. Tall enough to use from a standing position but slides down to suit a seated position, nice and robust without being too heavy with a smooth pan head. The Manfroto's are terrific and l...

Re: I'm gonna buy a Hummer
I wish I had of bought my HMR years ago and have found the Savage base model exceptionally accurate and well made for the price. I've spent $700 including a good scope and think I've got great value and sure a CZ with a quality scope would be near double. I own a CZ .22 and appreciate where the qual...

Re: Any one purchased equipment through Opti zone
I recently purchased a scope and received it on the 8th day from initial order. I had been kicking around the net doing the product research then scouted for the best price finding frustration with them all being the same price. Lots offer a price match but not all allowing International shipping. O...
