I did! Also sold my 260, 7mm08 and now rebarrelling my 308. My biggest regret was selling my CZ550 30-06.

If I can get this Steyr 270 sorted I’m not getting rid of it.

Re: The Tale of the 22-250 to 308 to 22-250 again Model 70

Seeing as you’re the owner of ausvarmint I had hoped you would have gone for something a little more exotic, something needing fireforming maybe, or necking down from another case. 22-250AI for instance, getting those heavier pills motivated. Maybe a 22x47, nice long neck on them, or something new ...

Re: The Tale of the 22-250 to 308 to 22-250 again Model 70

I am happy to see you still have that special rifle Mate I will never get rid of it, it was given to me by my uncle and made even more special when you worked your magic on it. I love the thing and it was killing me that it was sitting in the safe and somewhat unusable. Which is why I decided to go...

The Tale of the 22-250 to 308 to 22-250 again Model 70

After trying to fix this damn feeding issue of my post 64 Win Mod 70 that I had rebarrelled from 22-250 to 308 I have decided to go back to 22-250rem after purchasing my 270 it seemed like the smartest idea so I have a working rifle and one that is gorgeous thanks to MISSED’s handiwork in refinishin...

Re: A question for the SFFP folks here

I will say this though, the most I’ve heard weigh in on this subject is men. To me that is a bit strange. Not saying men’s opinions are less valid but it does seem like men have stronger feelings or at least more conflicting feelings about this than women. Me personally, I just think it should be be...

Re: Does this sound like a stock flex issue?

Do you know if the stock has support points for the barrel in the fore-end? Marlin used it on some of their stocks, two small bumps that touch the bottom front-end of the barrel. These have been alleged to cause POI and accuracy issues with many owners grinding them down to fully float the barrel. ...

Re: A question for the SFFP folks here

I’m a big supporter of SFFP and I’m also a supporter of the right to choose. If the members in the lower house voted yes then it makes SFFP like like a disorganised rabble if the upper house member has a contradictory position. Or we have a member whose ego is greater than their teamwork ethos Sent...

Re: A question for the SFFP folks here

The bill was subject to a conscience vote within the party, just like Labor, Lib and the Nats. All 3 of our lower house MPs supported the bill and Robert has said on record that he wanted abortion issues to be removed from the crimes act. He wants the current bill before the upper house not to be ru...

Re: Does this sound like a stock flex issue?

The old bipod bounce. POI from prone to sticks to bipod will change a little. Just the way you hold it will change things. There is a lot of threads about the same question. Bipods can make a good rifle just shoot odd. We always talk about consistency, changing the support structure ( hold and fron...
