Suggestions for hearing protection
After using the usual disposable ear plugs for a while I've decided ear muffs are probably a better bet. Does anyone have any opinions or suggestions regarding ear muffs, and are the electronic versions worth getting? Price really isn't an issue for me but I'd rather not spend a zillion dollars to d...

Re: Aldi night vision
What's the legality of these for hunting? No, I'm not trying to party poop but I'm sure I saw something in the Vic firearm legislation that prohibited night vision for hunting. From memory this was some how associated with spotlighting. I'll try to hunt up the reference again, but perhaps someone he...

Re: Shooting Coverage Ten News
Good to see a straightforward report of a shooting event with no bias either way.

Re: Rifle Rebuild/repair/clean up.
Rebuilds are good fun. Doing a basic rebluing and clean up on my old Sportco .22 really got me back into shooting.

Re: Scuba Tanks
I have a friend who hasn't scuba'd in many years. If you want, I'll ask him if he's willing to sell the tank and then get the details for it.
I know you're in Albury, but perhaps Melb isn't too far.

Re: Bedding compound fitted with no release agent
I'd suggest cooling things first. The action should contract slightly more than the bedding material and hopefully pop loose. Some gentle persuasion might help. If things are really stuck, try alternating hot and cold. Heat it up and try working it loose, let it cool naturally then chill and try aga...

Re: gun sight cameras .
I'm not aware of any scope-specific cameras but there are some very cheap video cameras available that I've been using on remote controlled aircraft with success. These give reasonable quality images, take micro-SD memory cards, and will run for about 2 hours on their internal battery. Rather than s...

Re: What would you do???
The Raven, Mate I had made up my mind to scrap the barrel and try something else, perhaps a .22/243 Middlestead, as I had no use for a second .308 but after trying the 155gn Dyer HBC's I might leave it for a while. Regards Rolf. By all means re-barrel it if you want something different, but given i...

Re: What would you do???
If it's accurate enough for the task I wouldn't bother replacing it, unless you want to use it to fund another project.
