Re: HW100

Hey Bruce, Washing the pellets remove the lead particulates/dros and material left from the manufacturing process, so it extends the barrel cleanliness to a point. I generally use a pull through roughly every 300 -500 pellets depending on the rifle. Anything with a choked barrel will crud up quicker...

Re: HW100

SOME HW springers like RWS, mainly sub 12 fpe ones. Most of their PCPs don't.

Re: Gossip from the Shot Show

Walk away my friends. For a start Raytrade will not bring in PCPs. Secondly, cheap American ARs are very agricultural. Ever shot a Customs legal version Benjamin Marauder? Try that first. Buy once, cry once. Take your time and get something decent. For someone who has a quality AR, I'm not sure why ...

Re: It has arrived

My recollection of the R9 in 20 cal is that Lewis tuned them as a matter of course. It shouldn't need much done except maybe a new breech seal. PM me your address and I shall send one up in the post. Most of us won't be up again until the ACT State/Territory Titles on the first weekend of August. In...

Re: It has arrived

Ah, young Skywalker. Your move to the Dark side is almost complete. Listen to the force.............. it goes Phut.

I can foresee. It will be compulsory to have Phut Phut at the next Missathon. A cheaper weekend will be had by all with more trigger squeezes.

Re: A couple of thoughts on the 204 Ruger after a couple of years.

Nothing wrong with Super Simplex presses, as long as you got the correct dies for it. Only problem that may arrive is when you need to full length size, but then you could ask and maybe someone here would do them for you. :D RCBS powder throwers are good bits of gear as well. Just check that you go...

Re: First Purchase

Matt is reacquainting himself with how to shoot a springer. Can't remember seeing him shoot one. It'd have to be in Canberra nearly two years ago. And that was only because he had to, for the Nats.

I'm sure he's shooting one in Canberra in acouple of weeks.

Will you be there Andrew?

Sorry. Not Ryan's. I misread it as Lewis buying it for his kids. Lewis still has that one.

Re: First Purchase

That'll be Ryan's former R9 that he sold to Lewis last year. At least we know the history.

The 97 was s old to a gentleman in Healesville VIC. I'm catching up with him when it arrives.

Re: First Purchase

Just like baby blue was Gavin. :-) ok, so it was my third. I would have to rate the HW77 (1983) that I customised to be on top of the pile of ALL the springers I've shot.
