Re: Barnard Tikka T3 Trigger

Would this work on a Sako 75. What cost are they?

Re: Forster case trimmer/neck turner

Yep I get 0.4mm thick. 6.3mm wide. 36.64mm long. 31.30 long on shorter side. It has a curved shape to fit under the bearing. The long side is at the back. The angle obviously being consistent with the shape of the cut out on the bit you turn to progress the neck turn. Maybe you could trim a feeler ...

Re: What new builds have you dreamt up during these idle times?

Back in 2008 I was thinking I needed a 17 that would work using 223 brass, 25gn Vmax, or 30 Berger. Therefore 1 n 9 twist. I had a reamer made up which matched the Redding 17 Mach 1V full length die for the front end but the length of a 223 case. I acquired a 1 n 9 twist Krieger barrel. I didn't pro...

Re: Digital scopes

Yep. A tripod or sticks like Viper sticks make using night vision style scopes easier. It's much easier working the buttons standing up.

I just acquired the Viper sticks with the 5th leg so it can idependtly hold the rifle.

Re: Digital scopes

I would agree with that and it is a challenge from the perspective of sighting the scope in. The pixelation means you cannot see your bullet holes especially of small calibers at 100 plus meters. You either have something you can use as a spotting scope or walk to the target and mark it so you can s...

Re: Digital scopes

I've got the Pulsar Digisight 455. They have now made it in the Thermion configuration (traditional scope) which would be much better for mounting on a bolt action. They will cost more and are not yet available here. The 450/455's are extremely light sensitive which is great if you want to use them ...

Re: ATN X-Sight 4k Pro 5-20 IR torch test

Rob. Thanks for the update. I've recently acquired the Pulsar Digisight 455. Avoiding the ATN software update experience was a big factor in my choice. The compromise of degraded picture at high power is frustrating when sighting in but the price point to avoid this is too high for me. It's pity the...

Re: ATN X-Sight 4k Pro 5-20 IR torch test

Can you give an update on how the X sight 4 k pro performs for you and which IR emitter is working the best. Does the laser work better in the field than the led torches?

Re: Easy barrel changes

I saw a recent reference to this product in US and am wondering what conclusion Seddo came to in testing a local version.

Re: 17 vs 20cal

I think 20 cals are easier to live with. I wll be interested in your Swan barrel experience. I would go MAB before Swan based on my experience.

Re: I want

Theres a cheap one on used guns. They must be pretty common.

I've got a 22 hornet sporter version. You can get the leupold 3x9 x 33 AO to fit in front of the rear mount for a better scope position.

Ok. So how much are you going to charge? Tru-oil is about $20 a bottle.
