Re: Buying a Chainsaw from the USA

I've bought 3 chainsaws 2nd hand and all have been rippers, all work fine and have cut shitloads of wood since owning them - might be an option for you Keith? One of them cost me $25! (Jonsereds 621) and it is a great saw (heavy) but plenty of torque and starts usually 1st or 2nd pull. The Sti...

Not sure how the Win Primers go, I guess load a few and see how it goes but as Trev said put some glasses on to be on the safe side, but personally if it was me I'd just keep them for another SR cal and buy the Rem 7.5's to save the hassles.

Re: A couple of thoughts on the 204 Ruger after a couple of years.

The more I use the 204 the more I'm amazed at what it can do and the size of the animals it can do it too but the best part is the being able to watch the action through the scope - I do love that part. :D

Re: Lithgow /t3

Only thing I don't like about the Lithgows is the weight of them - 3.7kg for the Cf timber version - other than that I wouldn't mind one at all (mind you it would make a nice spotlighting outfit I reckon but would prefer the Tikka for a walkabout outfit (lighter option).

Flat stacked in the bed of the truck, no refrigerated transport in those days, billions of rabbits transported from western NSW and other states to the capital cities where the big processing facilities were located, thousands of blokes employed both casual and full time trapping, shooting, transpo...

Very nice D, heavy little suckers aren't they. I've got a flash Chinese Trasco if you get desperate - you could probably mount a coke bottle on top and get similar/better results

I only push the brush through one way then remove it once it's at the muzzle, pull the rod back through attach the brush and repeat until happy everything is as it should be, do the same for the jags for the patches too, works for me and I also use nylon brushes at times too.

Re: Decisions decisions.

Cheers Ned, I've seen a few stocks that look the same as the timber in the 486 and they look sensational I reckon.
