Re: New to me 17 MkIV

G'Day Camel,

Many thanks.

I picked up 700 hornady 25grn Hp's for cheap as a couple years back. I also have 300 or so of the Nosler varmagedon Hp's so will give em both a crack. What size bushings did you go with of the top of your head.

Re: New to me 17 MkIV

Many thanks Barry,

So far I'm really happy with the purchase, nice bit of wood a few marks, barrel and mag have no visible use, not so much as a mark on the mag follower.

look forward to catching up with every one. its been to long.

Re: Prefered scope and why

The 204 R now wears a 5-25 NF SHV. Why... the 6 -18 Leupy was shit at night but great during the day. We really like it so far. The 20 Vartarg has a 3-12 x 56 kahles helia C. because it came up at a really good price at the time. I is just perfect for the spot light work at 8 - 10 power it make very...

Re: Spotlight Bulb

Also and most of you will know this But....if you start blowing globs regularly, replace your switch. they start adding resistance and if they ever feel warm... piss them it off and get a fresh one. Ive learnt the hard way as with most things.

Re: Spotlight Bulb

Righto.

The Vertical Filament OSRAM part 62138 HLX I find this one gives the tightest spot. and its not hard to tune the dark spot out of the center.

The horizontal filament in my experience give the wide spot that is really hard to tune. OSRAM part 64623 HLX.

Re: Spotlight Bulb

Yep you have to be real careful which one ya get,. they are all OSRAM but there is a big difference between the so called VERTICAL and HORIZONTAL filaments, had this problem a while back and even rang Powa Beam to get to the bottom of it. they told me that both types are right for the light but one ...
