Re: JB Bore Paste or Bore Brite

G'day All, Borescope - you will see things that scare the pants off you. BUT, if the rifle shoots as expected - ignore the visual defects as they haven't affected your rifle! What they are ideal for is ensuring you have a clean bore, no carbon rings in the chamber and you can check throat wear. You ...

Re: Quick test of the Aguila 60gr .22LR subsonic

G'day all, in my Anschutz SK Subsonic HP at the best followed by E.ey Subsonic HP and RWS Subsonic HP Off a Harris bipod at 50paces, SK better than 0.3", Eley about 0.3" and RWS about 0.375" for 5 shots Its not really fussy so its sometimes best to try others. FYI I helped a mate set ...

Re: Sako L461 varmint stock - DIY

G'day Bruce, to avoid over runs use your thumb nail as a stop, it will help a lot....well I found it helps (as recommended by Geoff Slee) Cabinet scrapers can quickly clean up them anyway but many light cuts are easier to control (and repair) That was a hard lesson to learn and to do one layer of li...

G'day All, here's the link for an online DIY stock, probably the same as the one Bruce saw. Some good ideas in this link https://forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/do-it-yourself-stock-making-thread.3923285/?fbclid=IwAR0QzMHt2T_9H9XHLn7DnSRypfAqldv8H3mRxDJ1lUwQpe1Thj6x54VhE78 Enjoy. Re: Some blokes

G'day All,
try using walnut dust and superglue as bog, apparently its very effective and when oiled you wont see the repair.
Hope this helps.

Re: T3 Mag set up for 80gn projies - pls help

G'Day all, just an update from Waters Rifleman via email on their recently released AICS mags. They are actually full AICS standard single feed, double stack magazines that are actually smaller than other AICS mags for a given round count and for a 223R they have an extra 0.050" OAL length too ...

Re: T3 Mag set up for 80gn projies - pls help

G'day Tony,
I was thinking of an Atlasworx either as a CTR inlet/AICS mag or their straight up AICS DBM. If I went with the CTR inlet I'd have that as a CAD model for inletting but it is a bit more $$. I'll probably keep it pretty simple and cost effective.
Thanks to all for the help.

G'day all, some homework completed, my rifle has done little work probably less that 200rds. I've just checked the bullet jam figures for the 80gn Amax, Berger 80gn VLD and 80.5 FB... 80 gn Amax BT shoulder just inside case, but fully through neck OAL 2.477" 80 gn Berger VLD BT shoulder only ju...

T3 Mag set up for 80gn projies - pls help

G'day All, I have a T3 223 1:8T varmint and I'm looking to seat 75-82gn projectiles to be close to the lands and have nothing more than the boat-tail inside the shoulder area of the case for max powder capacity AND still feed from a magazine. A magazine with a long internal dimension should allow me...

Re: Finished stock pt3

G'day Seddo,
it took about 8-10 weekends as you can only do about 2hrs of 100% concentration before you risk major stuff ups! Which I found out on my stocks I checkered before this one!
