Re: Quick test of the Aguila 60gr .22LR subsonic
We can blame Covid for this Trev. That lot of Tenex was used by a very well known shooter at a match earlier this year where one in five didn't fire. Examination showed the primer mix was not around the whole rim. Another BR shooter in Brisvegas told me an inch at 50 was good with this stuff. Fortun...

Re: Quick test of the Aguila 60gr .22LR subsonic
Aguila SSS 60 grain was developed for the Poseidon rifles to dispatch watchdogs, so legend has it. Bolt action, integral suppressor using a 9 twist barrel. A lot of mystery about this particular rifle and its true purpose. The only current commercial rifle sold that is suited to this ammo is the VQ,...
Re: Thermion.
Thought I'd keep this thread going. Good mate sent me this pic last night. He was watching the footy and heard the dogs barking so he walked out onto his veranda and spotted over 20 pigs rooting up the house paddock looking for nut grass. They had dozed the paddock earlier in the week. Anyway he got...

Re: Cleavers IBI 22LR barrels any good ???
Can't elaborate any more on IBI 22lr barrels but can share on their centerfire barrels. I have set up a number recently from 6 Creedmoor, 7/08 and 284, and 308. All have been for target work from PRS to Fclass. All the feedback has been very positive and some of the results i have seen do rival barr...

Re: An observation with 2209.
Anyone is capable raven, a chrono will tell you as will bolt lift and general pressure signs. I might add these irregularities started to appear at around the time production changed ownership. Not saying these are bad changes, there certainly can be beneficial aspects and accurate loads found. What...

An observation with 2209.
In the last few weeks i have ginned around with the Defiance and 260 Rem barrel before it gets sidelined for the 6mm Creedmoor barrel. Some of you know i have many batches of ADI powders including 2209 dating back to the steel tin and paper label, to the latest plastic cannister stuff. A month ago i...

Re: 22x47 Lapua
Glenn a while back a young bloke i met up with at the range was chasing 300 WM brass. I offered him weight sorted RWS brass at $2 each and what i had left of my brown box and long discontinued Lapua at $2.50 a case. He declined and some time later i saw that he had purchased Remington brass. Around ...

Re: Blackjack 25cal 131gr
Sounds like a great venture seddo as i always felt the 25 cal was lost in space in recent years. As a caliber between the 6 and 6.5mm it was sort of forgotten. I shot a number of 25 cals over the years from 25 BR, 25x47 Lap AI, 25/284, 25/6.5x55, 25 Souper AI and a couple of 25/06s as a hunting roun...
Re: Thermion.
Crackers that NUK can be a royal pain at times but i have left it on auto and watch the timer at bottom left run down. I found the worst case is when you fire the unit up it will NUK half a dozen times and then settle. I simply turn it on 20 minutes or so before i start the night, and off at the end...
Re: Thermion.
I suspect different areas and climates utilise the different palettes available. Up here i pretty much stay on black hot. Used Sepia to good effect to zero at various times but for hunting pigs and deer, black hot just seems to find them quicker for me.
Re: Thermion.
Good write up Glenn. Good pics.

Re: T3 Mag set up for 80gn projies - pls help
Ned Gunblokes floorplates are a high tensile matt anodised alloy and contrary to what the homepage says, they are not a drop in fit. I went CTR because i already had that action with two bolts and two magazines with 12 or so barrels which i swap out whenever i get bored. But if i went from scratch, ...
